What are B Vitamins?

The B group vitamins support the body’s natural balance and synthesis of hormones. These water-soluble vitamins play important roles in metabolism within the body.

Where do B Vitamins come from?

They are naturally occurring in whole unprocessed foods. Such as beans, whole grains, potatoes, bananas and chilli peppers. There are a whole range of different B vitamins, but NuWoman 30 PLUS and NuWoman BALANCE contain only the 3 which are most beneficial to hormonal balance.

B6 – pyridoxine

B6 has been used as a constituent of NuWoman because of its well-studied effect upon premenstrual symptoms and ability to breakdown and excrete excessive hormones.

B9 – folic acid

B9 is considered a necessary vitamin for a healthy life.  There are numerous clinical benefits of B9 and it was included in NuWoman for many reasons including to help break down and excrete excess hormones.

B12 – cyanocobalamin

This vitamin is responsible for the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids. This is beneficial to hormone balance and necessary for a healthy life.
